Rain Bird Corporation wants turf and lawn enthusiasts to showcase their cinematic talents, bring awareness on the need for water conservation for green spaces and win some money with its Intelligent Use of Water™ Film Competition. Short films/videos are being sought (1-20 minutes in actual or excerpted run time) that focus on the topic of water conservation. Narrative, documentary, animated, experimental and/or student-made productions should explore approaches and ideas to intelligently manage and efficiently utilize the Earth’s most precious resource. Winners will be awarded cash prizes of $6,000 for judges’ selection and $3,000 for audience’s pick. The deadline to submit entries is August 15, 2007.
Rain Bird invites yard aficionados to submit short videos/films exploring opportunities to conserve water while encouraging green spaces.
